☠️ 10 Things you should know about me ☠️

  • Years in the industry: Started in 2004 and never looked back.

  • Favourite hair memory: So many to choose from but probably winning 2009 Vancouver Fashion week fantasy hair competition. The prize, a trip to LA for a week of advanced training at the Toni & Guy Academy and a week of training in Vancouver at Suki’s Academy.

  • Hair Speciality: As a life long learner i have always loved challenging myself to master new skills and ideas. I love cutting hair to create timeless shapes with a modern personality to match your own. There is nothing more satisfying than painting a hair colour that perfectly compliments your haircut and style.

  • Style Icons: Having worked Backstage at fashion events in Vancouver, Toronto, and Kelowna I have always found inspiration looking at the runway. Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Yohji Yamamoto top my list.

  • Hair Muses: I love looking back at the decades of hair history for inspiration. Clara Bow and the other 1920s flappers, Or Veronica lake’s iconic peak -a- boo waves from the 40’s and 50’s. And Audrey we cant forget Audreys fringe. I love the big and bold perfectly imperfect Bardot hair from the 60’s\70’s, and the Punk Rock 80’s that evolved into the grunge\street style of my youth. We are so lucky to be hairstylists in a time where we can pull from so many years of iconic style and find ways to shape that into something new.

  • What am i listening to: Music is a big part of my life, You will get a good sense of that when you sit in my chair at the Raven. Often it’s modern folk\rock like Nathaniel Rateliff, Caamp, and Khruangbin.

  • Favourite Meal: I love to cook (and I’m kinda awesome at it haha.) so anything home-cooked. Oh, and I’m a vegetarian so eat lots of plants.

  • My perfect adventure: Love a good road trip. BC’s Sunshine Coast and the Kootenays hold a special place in my heart. I also love a trip to the plant store hehe, cause I’m a bit addicted to houseplants.

  • Local Hotspot: Summertime: Truck 59 Cidery, Anytime: Lakesider Brewing, Yummytime: Kojo Ramen

  • What am I up to when i’m not in the salon: So many things, I get to travel and teach other hairstylist awesome haircutting, colouring, styling, and everything EVO haircare. Im Baking bread, crocheting, making jewellery, playing my guitar and singing and I get to do all these things with my awesome husband and our little old pooch Atticus.
